Updates

  • 2025-12-09: Took a bit longer than I wanted it to, but I’ve just made the switch to Quartz.
  • 2025-09-05: I’ve decided to redo my blog again as currently the barrier to posting is still to high. I’ve already decided to use Quartz to publish a Obsidian vault in the hope that this makes posting even easier. I’ve also thought about setting up some sort of comment system, like Remark42 or Isso.

I’m still a bit unsure on how/if I want to show the evolution of pages. For transparency I’d really like to include it, but it also increases overhead a bit, but too much can also make everything quite hard to read.

I’ve started this using the fuwari template which provided a nice starting point, but I think I now need to change some stuff myself to get everything the way I want it to. To not forget what I want to do (and in the spirit of keeping this a living document, see What This Is And What It Is Not, I will keep a list of things I want to do here.

  • Remove categories. I don’t really use them and both tags and categories seem redundant.
  • Find a nicer way to write. Currently I write using VSCode, but I’d like to be able to write like in Obsidian, especially for interlinking.
  • Book reviews, maybe media reviews in general.

Changelog:

Technically, everything is in Git as well, but I don’t publish that (yet).

  • 2025-12-09: Re-did everything again, switched from Fuwari/Astra to Quartz.
  • 2025-04-22: What a productive day, also removed categories, pulled in ~60 commits from upstream fuwari and updated some dependencies.
  • 2025-04-22: Added Expressive Code for nice code blocks, inlined KaTeX CSS, so now we’re loading 0 external dependencies.
  • 2025-04-22: Wrote this and What This Is And What It Is Not to add some structure.
